Description

Take your first step towards massive climate impact.

Thank you for your interest. We will be very happy to consider your application.

Carbon13 builds and backs teams addressing earth’s critical life support systems. Initially this means addressing the most urgent problem of our time – climate change.

In our five-month Venture Builder programme, we bring together 80 bright minds from the fields of technology, science and business. With a great deal of support at all levels from us and our network of experts, they form teams, identify problem areas with significant potential for savings or reductions, and develop a climate tech startup in response.

If you want to start a climate tech venture from the best starting position without losing time, which the climate crisis doesn't give us anyway, then start your application now. We count on you.

The Carbon13 Application Process

Once you’ve submitted your application, we will get back to you in a maximum of 10 days. If your application is successful, we will offer you a 15-minute interview. If this is successful, there will be a second short interview after which we will let you know if we can offer you a place in the next cohort.

Deadline: March 9th 2025

Cohort start: April 2025

At Carbon13, we recognise that the strongest founding teams and innovation communities are those that are diverse in thought and background. We actively welcome applicants who can build these teams and help us achieve our CO2 emissions combatting mission collectively. Please let us know here if you have any concerns about the programme.

In particular, if you have any personal circumstances that you think might affect your ability to participate, please write to marina@carbonthirteen.com.

Location and Dates

Although much of the programme will be delivered virtually, some of Phase 1 will be delivered face-to-face. Attendance in person in Cambridge (UK) for this part of the programme is mandatory. Other than that, it is up to you and your team to decide how and where you will work. The mandatory dates of the in-person component will be announced soon.
